Compass Breakaways use a curriculum that encourages relational breakthroughs and authentic, life-giving connections. The materials are a blend of Compass Ministries’ developed modules and high quality resources from our partners (NCF, NFI, and more). Examples of partner resources are quality speakers and printed curriculum materials from partners. An example of a Compass Ministries developed tool is our Compass Cue Cards which are used to stimulate heart level discussions between father and child. Examples of Compass Cue Cards can be provided. We will maintain core modules in the Compass Toolkit that have been field tested and proven effective as well as introduce and pilot new tools that address important and relevant issues. A key to our model is using experiential learning.

To further the impact of Compass Breakaways, we encourage fathers to continue investing in their relationship with their child. One way to do this is through Compass To-Go, which is a collection of proven tools for continued growth through relational intentionality. Examples of Compass To-Go offerings are: father devotionals, father/child devotionals, letter writing kits, recommended texts and workbooks, and Compass Solo Breakaway kits. Compass Foundation helps give Fathers and children new understanding of each other and their relationship as a base of knowledge build upon, as well as provides some thought starters to begin preparing the heart participants will be provided with Compass Preparation materials and optional follow-up.
